Paddle tennis is a sports discipline practiced by more and more people throughout Spain. To the extent that it has gained fans, it has become necessary to make improvements to the courts, providing them with adequate lighting and technology to guarantee the best playing conditions. For this reason, the Seseña Indoor Paddle club has opted to change the interior LED lighting of its five tracks by asymmetrical Óptima LED.
Characteristics of interior LED lighting with asymmetric spotlights by Optima LED
The asymmetric spotlights from the ÓptimaLED brand are projectors that have a special asymmetric lens, especially designed to guarantee great luminosity on paddle tennis, tennis and soccer courts.
Unlike traditional lighting systems, these spotlights provide greater lighting with lower electricity consumption, which translates into significant savings in electricity service rates. Likewise, these spotlights have the necessary protection measures against impacts and exposure to the open air, something that guarantees a long useful life of the product. In fact, these lights have ENAC certification in the TM21 test, which guarantees more than 54,000 hours of useful life.
The special asymmetric lens of this projector redirects the light source towards different angles, reducing the effects of glare to almost negligible levels. Thanks to this feature, a padel player can clearly notice when the ball is coming from considerable heights without being blinded by the court light.
In that sense, the ÓptimaLED asymmetric LED spotlight reduces light pollution. This prevents homes or offices adjacent to a paddle tennis court from being affected by the lighting.
In addition, these spotlights are free of substances harmful to health such as mercury, have automatic ignition and reach a maximum of immediate brightness compared to halogen lights.
Professional lighting with ProTour Asymmetric LED projector spotlight from ÓptimaLED
The asymmetrical projector spotlight from the ÓptimaLED brand has been selected by the Pádel Indoor Seseña club to improve the lighting of its facilities. Specifically, the club has replaced the lighting of its five courts with 200 W ProTour Asymmetrical spotlights.
Previously, each track used eight 400 W metal halide lights for lighting, which consumed 3,200 W per hour per track. Now, to achieve better lighting conditions, they have started to use 4 200 W spotlights, which represent a consumption of only 800 W per hour per track.
With this change, the Seseña Indoor Paddle Club has achieved savings of 12,000 W or 12 KW per hour. In addition, it has gone from having 178 lux on average on the court to having 237 lx. A great change that guarantees optimal practice conditions for players.
